What if I cannot visit the bank in person?
If you are unable to travel, you can introduce a trusted person or a family member to register in your place. They will provide their own photo and fingerprint so they are authorized to receive the money for you.
How long is my E-cash card valid?
Your card is valid for 5 years from the date it is issued. When it expires, you can easily renew it by visiting an AIB branch or meeting one of our mobile registration teams.
Do I need an internet connection to use my card?
No. The E-cash system works offline. This allows you to withdraw your funds with complete confidence from authorized bank agents even in remote villages without internet.
