Afghanistan International Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Colin Macdonald as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors.

Afghanistan International Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Colin Macdonald as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors.

Colin brings 35 years of experience in financial services across retail, private, corporate and investment banking. Over the past 20 years in the Middle East, he has held senior leadership positions including Regional Head at a global bank, Deputy CEO at a major GCC bank and Group CEO of a leading regional investment bank.

His experience spans transformation and restructuring, risk management, digital strategy, and financial services M&A and integration. He has also served on multiple boards and is a Certified Director with the UK Institute of Directors.

AIB welcomes Colin to this position and looks forward to his leadership and contribution to the Bank’s continued development and strong governance.
